Buy a Home in Lawton, OK

Finding the right home starts with knowing the area. I help you compare neighborhoods, connect with a local lender, tour homes that fit your budget and write an offer that protects you.

How Buying a Home With Me Works

  • Talk through your goals. We cover budget, timeline, must-haves and the areas that fit your commute.
  • Get pre-approved. I can introduce local lenders for VA, FHA, USDA and conventional loans, so you know your price range before you tour.
  • See matching listings. I set up your search in our MLS system. New listings reach you by email, and you can mark favorites and leave me comments.
  • Tour homes. In person, or by live video if you are out of state.
  • Make an offer. I prepare a price opinion from recent sales and negotiate price, repairs and closing costs.
  • Close. I coordinate inspections, the appraisal, the lender and the title company through closing day.

Who I Help

First-time buyers, move-up buyers, military families arriving at Fort Sill, buyers relocating from another state and buyers looking for acreage all have different questions. After more than 28 years in Southwest Oklahoma real estate, I have worked through most of them. I work with clients in English and Korean.

Where to Look

Lawton has the widest choice of homes and prices. Elgin offers newer subdivisions north of Fort Sill, Cache has small-town living near the Wichita Mountains, and Medicine Park has cabins and cottages by Lake Lawtonka. The rural towns around the county offer more land for the money.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do I need for a down payment?

It depends on the loan. Eligible veterans and service members can often buy with no down payment using a VA loan. FHA and conventional loans have low down payment options, and USDA loans may apply to rural addresses. A local lender can confirm what you qualify for.

How long does buying a home take?

Most financed purchases close about 30 to 45 days after the seller accepts your offer. Cash purchases can close sooner.

What does it cost to work with you as a buyer?

Before we tour homes, we sign a written agreement that spells out my services and how I am paid. You see every cost up front.
